Community Supported Agriculture has been popular on the East and West Coast areas of the country for many years, and is quickly spreading to all areas of the country. In a CSA, members support the farmer in the beginning of the season. They buy shares of produce from the farm available each week. Therefore, the shareholder also sustains any losses that the farm may have during the season. Traditional CSA’s supply only the members with veggies each week. Since we have retail and wholesale markets also, we have adapted our distribution to include our CSA.

Shares consist of in-season produce harvested each week in the amount that a family of 2 adults would eat in a week. Two adults equals one share, 4 adults equals two shares. You may choose to buy 1/2 shares for children in your family.

Pick-up day will be limited to Thursday afternoons, as we go to the Muskegon Farmers Market on Thursday morning. Pick-ups can also be made at the Muskegon market on Saturday morning. Come early for the biggest selection. Extra produce for canning and freezing may be purchased separately at reduced price to CSA members. Product available as season permits.

Fee is determined by family size. 1/2 share is $200, one share is $400 per season. On-farm pick-up will have the earliest and largest selection, usually starting early June. Market pick-up is limited to on-hand supply. Special orders need three-day advance notice. We also trade work for partial reduction of cost. A seasonal commitment is required. Special arrangements can be made. Contact us with your idea. Call us for more info on the CSA or for farm direct orders at (231)834-8643 after 7 PM or FAX us at (231)834-0180 anytime.
